Good afternoon members,
As discussed at the first initial meeting with Disc Golf and Club members, we would hold a second meeting to take a vote about the collaboration between the club and disc golf. Sharing the facility and course will bring in financial benefits for the club The meeting will be held on Thursday 18th August at 6 pm in the clubhouse. A wee recap on the issues that were raised and will be dealt with as well as the financial benefit the club could get from the collaboration. - Communication – Open communication between both codes regarding safety and etiquette needs to be ongoing • Course Maps - Both course maps will be made available
- Green Fee Players – Monitoring by both parties and all profits to the Golf Club. Disc Golf members will have membership tags
- Health and Safety – It is expected that both codes respect each other and use common sense
The Financial benefit to the Club: - Annual Lease amount of $3,500 (initially with room to review)
- Disc Golf South will become Disc Golf Members of the Queen’s Park Golf Club with $100 of their sub coming to the Golf Club
- Green Fees will be charged out at $15 – The club keeps all profit
- Major Tournament – When Queen’s Park is closed to golfers, Disc Golf South will pay approx. $1,000 per day
- Bar profits will benefit the Golf Club Collaboration and shared facilities can have many benefits such as combining resources, sharing costs, and sharing ideas and services, which are looked upon favorably by funders.
We look forward to seeing you there Regards, The Queen's Park Board |
